Before being tragically found dead at a dump site, Awesu Mojisola Oluwafunmike, a 21-year-old final-year student at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, had recently celebrated her sign-out.

Just three weeks prior to her untimely death, she had shared photos and videos from her sign-out ceremony before disappearing on August 9, 2024.

Reports indicate that Mojisola’s mother is employed as a cleaner for the Ogun State Waste Management Agency.

According to her roommate, Miss Blessing O, Mojisola received a call from Miss Timileyin on August 9, inviting her to an event supposedly organized by students from Summit University and Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin.

Miss Timileyin introduced Mojisola to a Summit University student named Mr. Adebayo Happiness, who allegedly offered her money to accompany him as his girlfriend to a night party.

Upon arriving at the supposed party venue in Ilorin, Mojisola realized there was no event and felt uncomfortable at the hotel where she was lodged by Adebayo Happiness.

After Mojisola’s communication with her roommate about feeling uneasy, her phone was turned off, and subsequent attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.

On August 11, a body believed to be Mojisola’s was discovered by labourers in a refuse site near Aleniboro area Ilorin, Kwara State, and reported to the police on August 12.

The police dispatched a team of detectives to the scene, where they found traces of blood near Mojisola’s left ear, identifying her as the deceased.
