“Former Manchester United Star Suffers Unfortunate Injury While Washing Dishes”

Ex-Man United ace suffers freak injury while washing dishes and ‘almost loses his thumb’ image

A former Manchester United player is likely to miss his team’s upcoming Premier League games following an unexpected accident at home.

Axel Tuanzebe, a defender for Ipswich Town, was not available for the recent 4-1 loss against West Ham, a game that left Kieran McKenna’s squad in 17th place in the league and still seeking their first win since their return to the top flight.

After the match, McKenna, who used to assist at United, described Tuanzebe’s situation as a “very unfortunate accident”.

He mentioned, “He’s certainly a loss considering how he started the season. He will be sidelined for a while.”

The cause of his injury has now been unveiled. Reports, including those from BBC Sport, indicate that Tuanzebe needed emergency surgery after injuring himself while doing dishes.

Injury Details of Axel Tuanzebe

Tuanzebe sustained a serious cut on his hand from a piece of broken glass while washing dishes. There were fears he might lose his thumb due to the injury’s severity, but prompt medical intervention helped to address the issue.

The 26-year-old had played in all six of Ipswich’s league matches this season before missing the game against West Ham.

Since joining Ipswich on a free transfer last September, Tuanzebe has generally found success at Portman Road. He had previously faced challenges during loan spells at Aston Villa, Napoli, and Stoke City after losing his spot at Manchester United.

The DR Congo international made 37 appearances for United after debuting in January 2017.
