Parvin Sigei, a former radio presenter from Nairobi, has shared insights into his troubled marriage in a viral video, following accusations of setting his wife’s house on fire.
Reports indicate that Sigei allegedly ignited the fire due to marital conflicts, fueled by jealousy over his wife’s achievements.
In the video, he expressed his struggles, emphasizing that his wife did not acknowledge his support throughout their relationship.
“I have managed for over a year. I assisted her in securing her current role (at NHIF),” he stated.
Sigei elaborated that he had consistently financially backed his wife without questioning her spending decisions. He also claimed to have gifted her a car and considers the house that burned down as having caught fire from an electrical issue.
“Even if I leave KSh 200,000 at home, she still asks for more money in the evening for fuel. I have endured so much,” he expressed.
His emotional revelations painted a picture of deep-seated frustration, as he noted his inability to tolerate the situation any longer.
“People see the house, but they are unaware of the struggles behind the scenes,” he remarked.
He firmly denied the charges of arson, insisting that the incident was purely accidental. He mentioned having witnesses who could verify that he had left the house undamaged.
The video has generated mixed reactions online, with viewers divided on the issue. Some expressed sympathy for his plight and encouraged his friends to support him, while others condemned the alleged act of arson.
